Nash Produce is committed to yearly expanding our company’s capabilities and resources to meet our customers’ growing demands and trends. Our facility, positioned on over 92 acres, allows us to store over 2,300,000 bushels of sweet potatoes in on-site climate-controlled buildings. Meet Our Farmers:
Leggett Farming Partnership
Leggett Farming Partnership is owned and operated by Brent and Sue Leggett. Our farm is based in Nashville, North Carolina. We are a first-generation family farm and started farming in 2005. We have two sons, Colin and Carter. We grow a diversity of crops, including tobacco, sweet potatoes, cotton, soybeans, peanuts, and strawberries. Our strawberries are sold at our farm market and ice cream shop, Strawberry City.
In addition to row crops, we custom raise tobacco and sweet potato transplants for other farmers and do some custom harvesting. Sweetpotatoes is a major crop for us. We are a large producer of NC Certified Sweet Potato Seed. We produce several varieties of Generation 1 and 2 seed and plants originating from our own micro-propagation operation.
We are very involved in our local community and in various agricultural commodity groups. We work hard to be progressive farmers and to put quality into everything on our farm.

RJ Hinnant & Sons Farms
RJ Hinnant & Sons Farms is a fourth-generation farming operation that was started in 1976 and is located in Kenly, North Carolina. RJ Hinnant & Sons currently has three generations working in the family operation. The grandparents, David and Vickie, work alongside with their son, Clay, and his wife, Jessie, to make sure that the operation runs efficiently on a daily basis. Clay and Jessie’s kids, Ross, Kate, Sloane, and Vann, are also active participants in the family farm and have proven to be huge assets.
One of the special components of RJ Hinnant and Sons Farms is how much they have grown despite being a small family-ran operation. Growing upwards of 5 thousand acres, what makes this operation so special is how they have diversified into more produce. Along with growing sweet potatoes, the Hinnant family also grows squash, zucchini, and cucumbers. Nash Produce is proud to have a dependable and hard-working family to partner with to provide quality sweet potatoes to customers around the world!
